Is "But you can't stay here" a reference to the Semisonic song "Closing Time"?

It's a reference to the refrain you hear anytime a bar is closing.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO HOME BUT YOU CAN'T STAY HERE"

All I ever hear is "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE YOU FUCKING DRUNK!"

And it never seems to coincide with closing time, either...

Cf. T.S. Eliot: "HURRY UP PLEASE IT'S TIME"

I think that's a Dylan lyric.

I love the B+W coloring going on. But when we started in the Pub our heroes were in color [goats.com]. The new [goats.com] things [goats.com] used by [goats.com] them [goats.com] are in color but things [goats.com] in the [goats.com] Pub for a long time are B+W. Is there some sort of Pub Stub entropy going on?

What is driving me crazy [goats.com] is that when I was looking up the lyrics to "Closing Time" (also included in Weird Al Yankovic's "Polka Power"), I was reminded of a different song [80smusiclyrics.com] containing that same phrase. Argh!
