If it's blood-flavored, how can the broccoli guy whose name I've forgotten tell it's grape jelly?

Pick dem nits!

It's blood-flavored, not necessarily blood-scented...

If you click the archive [goats.com] link you'll see in yesterday's strip info (December / 12 / 2006 [goats.com]) he was identified as Farmhand Brock.

Farmhand Brock was introduced in Topeka Prime [goats.com] but now appears to be able to inhabit the Middle Pangaea [goats.com] dimension, so i'm not sure where his bio would eventually be appropriately kept.

Maybe sentient broccoli refer to all such goopy substances generically as "grape jelly" because that's the most common variety of said goop in their experience, and then they qualify it with other descriptors such as "blood-flavored", "Smuckers-tastic", "avoidably litigious", or "suitable for use as a veterinary lubricant".

Mmmm.... micro-powdered polymerized dispersing agents: they're not just for birthing calves any more!

Where does it appear he's able to be in Middle Pangaea?

I assume that it's blood-flavored grape jelly in much the same way you can have berry-flavored water, or orange-flavored Moutain Dew.

Oh, man, i was so stoned, i mistakenly thought the broccoli bunchettes had emerged to find the cowsnatcher near the Wound in Pangaea, but now i see they are simply somewhere in the grainfields of Topeka Prime. My goof-- sorry! I guess i was unconsciously associating cowsnatchers with the other tentacular wormish beasties. Oh well, maybe it happened in some alternate imaginary dimension while i was napping.
