Show of hands, who among us really has graduated from Michigan State University?

*raises hand*

Is your avatar picture by B Kliban [coldbacon.com]? I feel as though i've seen such feline illustrations somewhere before, but i just can't recall who was the artist.

Of course, i'm probably conflating it with the work some completely different creator. My memory declines at an accelerating pace with each passing year.

But do you ever see a person leave a cathedral toting a to-go box?

Coffins don't count.

...

WHAT?

No.

It's not possible that you spent more time as an undergraduate than I did.

Surely you should have had your degree by now?

Unless you're just another dang Ph. D? Useless, those. Only good for helping you make webcomics.

I have to admit that I hadn't read today's comic before I posted.

So, pretty much, the rest of this thread makes a lot more sense now.

I blame Norah.

No, it's Solange from 9 Chickweed Lane. I'd link you to the strip on comics.com, but my work comp is being a pissy little bitch this morning and not loading the site.

Nope, not a post-hole digger. I got a BA in English from MSU in 1992. I did have to go on the five-year plan because I studied overseas for a year.
