Thursday Cliffhanger

And so, as expected, it all ends in tears. Tears made of explosions.

So what now?

POLL: What is the future of Goats?

4% (1) Back to the Peculier Pub: this is just another soft reset of the Goats multiverse. Now that all this storytelling crap is out of Jon's system, we'll go back to our beloved gag-a-day.

0% (0) Time is cyclic. Jon will now start reruns of the whole strip, beginning with the first one. T-shirt sales will drop precipitously.

39% (9) Jon (the character) is still in his pocket universe, so he'll survive all this. He'll kidnap baby Phillip and raise him as his own. Sweet domestic comedy ensues. "Just where do you think you're going with that beer, young man?"

21% (5) Goats is over. Jon will move on to Team Force Alpha, knowing that "journal webcomics" are where the money is.

34% (8) Jon will quit cartooning and fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a butcher. Here, you must try the salami, it's our speciality
23 people have voted in this poll. (This poll is not active.)

Ah, Brother Kinyon, it's like old times. Talking with you about a Thursday cliffhanger...it's enough to make a fellow wax nostalgic.

I figure that there may still be a good number of living characters besides Jon and the creepy baby Phillip. I wrote it in reponse to Jon's newspost [goats.com]. I apologize humbly for that insult to the TCP. But it seems bad netiquette to repost here, so I'd urge you and others to take a look over there. Let me know what y'all think.

So, my favorite enlightened llama checks in. I don't mind waxing nostalgic. It's too cold outside to wax my car.

You're right, of course, that in this Crisis of Infinite Goats, anyone might really survive. And yes, I'm wondering about Megan and Lauren. Jon, in particular, has a lot of explaining [goats.com] to do.

Obviously the twist will... well, twist again, and we'll go back and re-visit Patent Pending for a while, and it'll turn out that it ties in as well.

Don't tell, but I think Jon is planning on tying in the first season of 'Punky Brewster' as well.

I agree with his take. I think we all would like to pretend that the second season never happened . . .

Patent Pending ties in via the band. Future Monkey. Obviously someone knows something in the PP universe.
