what was the name of that story?
posted Monday, March 17, 2008 - 03:05 AM (#41475)

... with the asteroid belt colony and the mysterious death hinging on earth gravity and the conspiracy about the Incredible-Tensile-Strength-Nanofiber -Whatsit (deathfloss is a good name) and the utterly peculiar quasi-libertarian rant about honorary titles?

I'll have to look it up when I get home. The bit where he winds it around the doorframe was nifty.

I'm not sure, but do you mean this story [wikipedia.org]?

Have you yet recalled the name of that story? Or did you get lost in all the magic and excitement of the new ::wiki [wikipedia.org] hyperlink?

[How long did it take me to notice that new menu option up there? More than a day?]

That's wildly inaccurate, like all wikipedia articles.

This forum is nothing like *lively*.

No, I've lost my hardcover Analog collection. Which according to the internet, doesn't actually exist. I think I've stepped into some kind of parallel universe.

I thought the question might be are we still supposed to be nice to new people...

If that rule has expired I can go get liquored up and be back in a couple hours...

Although in my relatively sober state I must confess that I don't see enough ammunition yet. Few more threads to read, never know.

And I just got 2 litres of scotch from duty free. 2 litres scotch, 2 newbies. Math is hard.

That was because I was _always_ drunk already and just needed ten minutes to refocus the abuse gland away from co-workers.

It is true I am not the man I used to be however. Now I occasionally wake up sober. Don't know if it means I am sleeping too long or drinking too small...
